This was fine, just I think as I’ve read to Christie novels this month she is not for me。 She is such an intelligent writer, however the amount of telling instead of showing she does in this tale, keeping the action at many parts at a stagnant stand still made it difficult for me to personally get through。

Brilliant。 There was also some French throughout the book which really enhanced the storyline。

This book is incredibly well-paced and a wonderful production of character analysis。 There is arguably very little plot but as a reader, you don't miss it at all。 Christie keeps the reader engaged with a myriad of interesting characters who are all well-developed and grounded。 From details about physicality to intonation, the characters of this novel seem to jump off the page and draw the reader in。 The format of this text is also highly enjoyable as it reflects the notes of Hercule Poirot and g This book is incredibly well-paced and a wonderful production of character analysis。 There is arguably very little plot but as a reader, you don't miss it at all。 Christie keeps the reader engaged with a myriad of interesting characters who are all well-developed and grounded。 From details about physicality to intonation, the characters of this novel seem to jump off the page and draw the reader in。 The format of this text is also highly enjoyable as it reflects the notes of Hercule Poirot and gives you a fun insight into the mental process of this sort of investigation。 As a murder mystery, Christie keeps you on your toes and leads you on perfectly to reveal her surprising ending。 This is a narrative about justice, community, class, and the assumptions we make about people。 It's a very engaging read and I think the perfect introduction to murder mystery as a genre。 。。。more

I loved this book and story so much。 Disclaimer: I saw the movie first。 But that did not take away from my enjoyment of the book at all - it was really fun to see all the pieces come together and see how Poirot came to his conclusion。 Agatha Christie is obviously a legend, but I really enjoyed how she was just descriptive enough… but her writing was still pragmatic, concise and direct。

Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like this one unfortunately 😩There was more telling than showing, and although very twisty, I found the twists absurd and irrational at times。I LOVED And Then There Were None though, so this Christie book was just a miss。 I think her standalones sit better with me, but I need to give some more Hercule Poirot a try before I come to my conclusion。

I acquired a taste for Agatha Christie, and Hercule Poirot, earlier this year, and recently acquired a number of those stories。 To keep it simple, Murder on the Orient Express is a ton of fun, will have you racking through the details, turning back to the train layout page, and scratching your head。 The conclusion is inventive, and sure to leave you satisfied。 While it isn’t my favorite Christie story, it was a true page turner, and it’s easy to see why it is a classic。

I unfortunately knew the solution going in, but it was still a zippy, engrossing mystery。

I'm not quite sure how I've managed to go through almost three and a half decades of life without ever reading this book, seeing any adaptation thereof, or having the solution to this classic mystery spoiled for me。。。 but I'm sure glad it worked out that way and quite enjoyed finally getting around to reading it。 I'm not quite sure how I've managed to go through almost three and a half decades of life without ever reading this book, seeing any adaptation thereof, or having the solution to this classic mystery spoiled for me。。。 but I'm sure glad it worked out that way and quite enjoyed finally getting around to reading it。 。。。more

What a solid murder mystery book! I don’t usually like audio books but I listened to this one while I read along and loved it! The narrator is fantastic with all the character voices。 Can’t wait to read more Agatha Christie!

Another one where you can't possibly guess the ending, at least in my opinion。 I thought I'd guessed it and put the pieces together, but I was still surprised。 Fast-paced and somehow still very deliberate and methodical Another one where you can't possibly guess the ending, at least in my opinion。 I thought I'd guessed it and put the pieces together, but I was still surprised。 Fast-paced and somehow still very deliberate and methodical 。。。more

No imaginé nunca la solución al crimen y quizás eso le subió las estrellas。Ni me imaginé la decisión de Poirot pero me gusto。

Enjoyed it。 For a murder mystery, I felt it lacked the suspense of And Then There Were None but still a very expertly constructed plot。 There's a distinct lack of action as most of what happens is Poirot systematically interviewing each of the passengers one at a time。 But still, this doesn't detract from the enjoyment。 I was blown away at the final twist。 A quick and fun read。 You get the sense that you're on the train with the characters Enjoyed it。 For a murder mystery, I felt it lacked the suspense of And Then There Were None but still a very expertly constructed plot。 There's a distinct lack of action as most of what happens is Poirot systematically interviewing each of the passengers one at a time。 But still, this doesn't detract from the enjoyment。 I was blown away at the final twist。 A quick and fun read。 You get the sense that you're on the train with the characters 。。。more

Andrea

well THAT was certainly unexpected。 I would make a horrible detective also good for them。

In all honesty I am not the right guy to review this book。 Watchmojo(that fucking channel) spoiled the ending for me。When I started reading the book, halfway through my brain decided to come alive and recall that stupid stupid video I watched years back。 It is pretty sadistic of my brain to do that。 That fucking grey asshole!

A cozy mystery paired with a warm drink in the fall is just what you need this October! Agatha Christie keeps you on your toes as the murder unfolds。 I did enjoy this book and it kept me guessing until the end, the only thing I wasn’t a complete fan of was the ending。 I found it to be a big twist, but also almost a cliche。 I also almost didn’t finish this book because of the beginning。 I found it confusing with so many characters and keeping up with who speaks what language。 Once the story got a A cozy mystery paired with a warm drink in the fall is just what you need this October!
